Autumn Interpretive Hikes at Kuffner Nature Preserve - Oct. 14th & Oct. 22nd
Join Heritage Trails Park District for an Autumn Interpretive Hike at the Dr. Elizabeth Yahl Kuffner Nature Preserve!
Take a guided hike through this 15.8 acre woodlot and learn about tree identification tips and techniques as you stroll along our new boardwalk trail surface. Guided hikes will be slow paced, under 1 mile in length, and last approximately 40 minutes ---- perfect for all ages & hiking abilities. Kuffner Nature Preserve is located at: 14840 County Road 66A, just north of St. Marys, Ohio. Parking space is limited, so please carpool with friends & family if possible.
Guided Autumn Interpretive Hikes are scheduled for:
-Tuesday, October 14th at 6pm - Led by Heritage Trails Park District Volunteer Shelby Oakes
-Wednesday, October 22nd at 6pm - Led by Heritage Trails Park District Executive Director PJ Fought
You may also choose to take a self-guided tree I.D. hike through the preserve anytime, dawn to dusk, October 1st - October 31st! Interpretive signage will be located along the trail to help you identify Ohio's different tree species. Get outdoors & celebrate the fall season with Heritage Trails Park District!
